Bangkok Baby

I'm onboard a flight to Bangkok right now with YW as I type this post. It was sort of a last minute decision made last week, and since it was a long weekend with friday being Labour Day, we decided to make a short trip over to the Land of Smiles. I've been wanting to do a trip with YW for quite some time now but there always seem to be differences in our individual schedules. The prices at which we purchased the airline ticket were considered a little steep but whatever. Ryu did promise me a fun friday night so he'd better keep his words and I'd also be able to hang out with the rest of the Team Player gang in Bangkok. Lastly not to forget my favourite
finnish fish, Mr Panu Rantaala(hope I didn't get spelling wrong).

What's different about this trip is that I would try to not be playing any poker at all and just have a purely touristy experience with YW. I've been eagerly anticipating for the past few days for friday to arrive, so I do hope we're gonna have a smashing time here. Also I would be looking forward to collecting my ping pong prop bet payment from Marcel who's the self-proclaimed best SNG player in Bangkok.

Pokerwise its been going decent, I'm getting back on track once again and I'm determine not to be screwing up this time round. Its been a lot more sideline work rather than playing volume for the month of April. Its also partly due to me taking up a more busy post in my military service. Its just close to a little more than one more year to go so I'll just try to hang in there. I think by the mid of May, my articles and videos would be up on SuitedAces so do look out for that. There's plentiful of promotions to come so do let me know if you are seeking any great deals for poker sites. Recently I've also taken to playing more NL cash games along with my PLO and putting my SNGs aside at least for the moment. One leak that I've plugged is that I stop treating my cash game stack like a tourney stack. This made me realise what a total cash game fish I was in the past and probably still am one at the moment.

Another thing which irks me a lot is the fact that recently many Singaporean guys in the poker scene have not made good their words on whatever deal or agreement they have or had made with me. There is not going to be any name pointing around here but I believe if a person can do it once to me then why can't he do it again to me in the near future. So if you are one of those guys, I think you should just burn in hell and I would definitely have you on my black list unless proven innocent somehow. I think integrity and making good one's words is a pretty important to a poker player's reputation and given the small circle here in Singapore, it does not pay to have a bad reputation amongst your countrymen.

Ok, my laptop's almost out of battery. Hope everyone would have a nice long weekend ahead and good luck at the tables too if you guys are gonna be playing.

insoumnia

I'm just hooked on this song.

Well, as stated on my blog, I was clearly ultra tilted being 3 outtered twice in like 10min for my stack. Was just sick. As for the 5/5 game, I must say I really enjoyed it, mainly because the 3 hands i played for the 6hr span held up lol. Aces winning the biggest pot of my life most probably, hitting a set, got my inducer bet out, and held up against what i think was a flush draw.

Alright, some of you might have been seeing me more often recently since I've been going to some games. But I doubt any of you know its actually me :P Oh jason, I met your dear friend Robin, the one you met on LongJie. Lol. He's funny. :P

Alright, go visit the new rakeback site Jason has running, pretty sick, sick deals he's offering. Till next time we actually do something since Jason is always locked up. Take care.

Poker Game Outing

So yeah so after a long hiatus from our adventures, we had a pretty fun trip to a 5/5 blinds home game. Obviously being the luckboxes, we both made a bit of money although I swear that Munchu stole all of my luck for that night. I think my live cash game sucks so much I need to play more often to keep up with all these live players. Basically, I undertook the strategy of shutting off from mingling with the table by keeping my hoodie on much to the irk of Eddie who couldn't get a read on me all night. Well at least that was what he told me. And also the fools got to witness first hand for the first time in our short live poker career, a $400 river call with Ace High by none other than our dear "sick call" Eddie, which turned out to be the winning hand. Words simply cannot describe the sickness of that call. Hopefully there's gonna be more entries to come since Munchu's so free nowadays that he can afford to smash his keyboards for fun.

People who go back on their word

Hello people.

Just here to update you on someone whom I thought was a nice person who kept his word.
But guess not. His name is Bud Lim. He's a triathlete and was from my former school RJ and RI.
We agreed to split our action during one of the games in past, and when he won and i lost, he didn't want to split the action going back on his word. In the end, I compromised, and he agreed to only cover my losses. But now he's even blocked me on MSN and not reply my sms-es at all in an attempt to not return me that sum of money. I'm utterly disappointed someone would throw away a friendship for just a couple of bucks.

So for those of you out there, watch out for this shady character, he could be selling you out next time for a small sum.

A day to be remembered..

We decided to do more tourneys which consisted of 2 more $24+2 45man, and a HU tourney.. It was hilarious.. I got knocked out early due to a donk re-shoving me with ATo when i raised with TT and he hit his A.. My MTTs also got beaten up pretty badly with sick beats.. But Jason managed to take down the HU.. He just slept till the next match-up, and got it over and done with within 10mins for the first few stages, but for the semis and finals, all it took was the first hand! Said he was meditating while he slept in between the matches LOL. Heres a rough recap of the hands..

Semis
Hole cards J4o
Jason raised to 90, Villain reraises to 270. After I reminded him that this guy was rather tight, Jason opts to calls.
Flop Jctc9d
Jason bets 180, Villain calls.
Turn 4c
Jason bets 540, Villain reraises all-in. Jason calls.
Villain shows KcKd.
River was a blank and thats that.

Finals
Hole Cards Js2s
Jason raises to 90, Villain called.
Flop 4s4c7s.
Jason bets 180, guy goes all-in.
Jason, "Eh, lets end this here." "One over card and a flush draw? Your call man I'm fine."
So Jason makes the call.
Villain shows 6s3s.
LOL we both started laughing.
Turn Qc
River Jd.

SHIP IT.
